I have been a member of AACE for over 20 years and a member of the Technical Board for 15 years. It is with great satisfaction to know that, during that time, more than half of the recommended practices in the AACE library have been developed. With that said, I would like to congratulate AACE, all past and present members of the Technical Board, and all authors and contributors who have worked to develop and edit our technical products, on the publication of the 100th recommended practice.
Having written, contributed, and edited many recommended practices, I know that it is not an easy task; however, it is definitely rewarding. Writing has never been my forte, but I have learned a great deal from my participation in development of our technical products. I would encourage any of my fellow colleagues who have a suggestion for a recommended practice to present their idea to the technical board. I assure you it will be a gratifying moment when your idea becomes reality and is published as an AACE Recommended Practice.
